We have system restore turned on for all of our computers here at the college. We have had a recent outbreak of viruses here and some computers had infected files in the system restore folder. I told my manager that we should disable system restore on all computers because its known that viruses like to get in system restore folders and hide and then get restored back if you use the feature. Also I told him about the advantage of gaining back 12% of the hd space. Any other reasons why it is good to disable it that you can think of?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Forsaken_GA Member Posts: 4,024well you'll also get a slight performance gain by turning the service off (it's usually among the first 5 things I do for any windows install)

I don't consider system restore an option in a domain environment. -
