Any better TV than this for the money?

Samsung - LN52B630 - 52" LCD TV - 1080p (FullHD)


Im probably going to be in the market for a new HDTV for my liiving room in the next few weeks.

Requirements:

50"+ Flat panel (LCD or Plasma)
120hz or better
1080p

The above linked TV gets good reviews and seems to be a decent price for a 2009 big TV.

I have a 32" samsung HDTV that i absolutely love so thats why im looking at that brand again.

Any suggestions?

For the money? IMO, no.

If you're gonna spend around $1500, I'd take this for example...

Slightly more pricey, but it's a better TV than that Samsung you linked to.

If you're not looking for absolute break neck picture quality performance though, you can get a 52" Sharp, Sony, or Samsung for less than $1200 that meets your criteria of specs. Those will offer very good picture quality for a lot less cash. If you're interested in Blu-Ray, a lot of Sony's are coming with good Blu-Ray players thrown in with promotions lately.

Ive got a bluray player for the living room, but the 32" will be moving into my room and it wouldnt hurt to have another player for there. Ill keep an eye out for those.

I found a samsung basically idential to the one i linked to but 60hz and it was 150$ cheaper.

I am willing to pay 150$ for the 120hz.

Are you sure? Last I checked, she doesn't like a picture so clear that it draws her into things. She instead likes drawing as many things into her...
