Types of physical locks covered in exam?
jrmeulemans
Take a look at the picture attached. This is from a practice exam I took. Is this a term we are supposed to know for the exam? I read about cipher locks but not specific types or brands.

I haven't seen anything referred to as a "smart lock" either in my studies or in practice that I can remember.
However, smart cards are sometimes used in this capacity. Smart cards are commonly used for authentication. They have embedded certificates and frequently require the use of a PIN for multifactor authentication (something you have and something you know).
When used for physical access, the smart card is swiped and a PIN is entered just as it'd be used for authentication to a system. Many physical access control systems can record the entry and exit of all personnel when a smart card is used for physical access. This provides the “individual accountability.”
