Windows 7 Beta expiring March 1
Well, the time has finally come.. IIRC, come March 1 I won't be completely denied OS service, but I will get warnings every couple of hours, followed by forced reboots every couple of hours, is that right?
I put W7 on my side system at work, my company has pushed back plans to go to W7 by almost a year (was supposed to be early summer, now it looks to be Januray 2011 at the earliest), so I won't have a proper copy of my own for a little while longer..
Using another eval copy (Windows 7 Enterprise | Trial, Evaluation, Test, Download), does anyone know if I can just put this overtop my beta version, or will I have to do a clean install? I'd really like to keep a working copy of Ultimate until I can take/pass the 70-682 upgrade exam, at which point I'll only likely need a Standard or Pro version at home (which I don't have yet, I was hoping for a volume license for Ultimate from work by spring sometime, but that's obviously not happening soon)
Cheers guys
Piers
