Per my Network + book by Mike Meyers it says that the command "nbtstat -n" will show you all the local netbios names on your windows network.
Well, I have a windows network with 3 different computers all sharing the same router. I ran the same command on each one and it only shows the netbios name of the computer that I'm on.
Any idea why this is? Anyone understand nbtstat -n?

Hyper-Me Banned Posts: 2,059-n only lists local netbios names. i.e. the netbios name of your computer and workgroup/domain its a member of.
-c lists the netbios cache, which will show Netbios names that your computer has resolved over some period of the past.
