I thought twisted-pair could only run 100M...

This site says:
1. What is the difference between CAT-5, CAT-5e, CAT-6, CAT-7...

The Simple Answer:
CAT-5 is rated to 100M
CAT-5e is rated to 350M
CAT-6 and CAT6e is rated to 550M or 1000M depending on your source
CAT-7 is supposedly rated to 700M or presumably 1000M

FAQs: CAT-5, CAT-5e, CAT-6, CAT-7 Patch Cables, difference between 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T and 1000BASE-T

I tried looking up Cat6 and Cat 7 Cable distances on other sites, and most of them say 100M as well.

Wikipedia says 100M for Cat6

Who is right...?

Thanks!

If you read further down it down it down say 10o meters. (you think I'd been drinkin')?

Maybe they saying this to try and say their cable is better quality?

I thought it was Mhz or frequency range the cable could use. The Cat6 cables I use are rated at 550MHZ as printed on the box and cable.

With the PoE and to try and cut interference, I believe they are winding the cables tighter, but the max distance is 100m, and the spool I cut it off was 1000 foot.
