If the driver for a device is not in the driver store, and not in the locations specified in devicepath, does windows 7 automatically check for the driver via windows update?

And if it finds a signed driver on windows update, is the device still installed?

If you are missing a critical driver needed for installation to even occur you would need to load it into the image, before application.
