Google has not helped me much. Any ideas? Thanks!

Have you reloaded GNS3 and started over again? That's where I would start.

Naturally, I have done that a few times as well as tried two other images. All with near identical results. I have its ram set to 256 MB.

Probbaly worth noting an error i get at the start of the IOS load.

Sounds like you have the wrong platform selected. Make sure you have a 2600 vs a 2600xm platform, the correct ram etc.

I tried all of the 2600 options, and none have worked. With variant "Increasing IOMEM" amounts, and different amounts of time before the CPU Vector error.

I'm off to bed, I'll continue troubleshooting tomorrow. Thank you!

You have to decompress 2600 images before using them with Dynamips. Its in the documentation/FAQ.

I've encountered alot of issue using a 2600 IOS, I use a 3700 IOS instead.

Yep, use something like WinRAR to decompress the 2600 image before using it in dynamips. Its best practice to decompress all images anyway to make the router load faster.

I read that somewhere shortly before lying in bed last night. Thanks for the help, I'll give that a try today!

I had a lot of problems with using the 2600 series so I switched to the 3600 series. I didn't really have problems after that point. That's my 2 cents worth ;)

Increase the RAM to 128MB. Don't forget, issuing a the 'reload' command will cause messages like the ones you've posted. Stop the router from within GNS3 instead.

Well I'm glad I found this thread. I was scratching my head trying to figure out why I was having this exact problem.

I was experiencing the same thing. I found a post on another forum which detailed the issues with the 2600s in GNS3. I'm now using 3600s exclusively and have had no issues at all. Good luck!

I also had problems with 2600 images in gns3, I do use 2691 now instead and have no crashing problems.
