Hello,

I am studying for my ccna security exam and have setup a site-to-site vpn environment with cisco 7206 routers, advanced ios 12.4, 256 megs of ram, and 72 megs of flash. When i click on the site-to-site vpn wizard, the page opens up and i fill my information and hit next and it doesnt do nothing. I was running java 6 and even tried java 5 update 21 and it will still not go passed that page. I can ping all the routers fine too and using a loopback connection for 10.10.10.1 in windows xp. Can anyone please help me out. I even tried java update 11 just now. Its weird that i can create a Secure GRE tunnel just fine and the next button works. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!

Main_Core router:

int fa0/0 - 10.10.10.1 255.255.255.0
int fa1/0 - 12.12.12.1 255.255.255.0

Internet Router:

int fa1/0 - 12.12.12.1 255.255.255.0
int fa1/1 - 11.11.11.1 255.255.255.0

Remote Router:

int fa1/0 - 11.11.11.1 255.255.255.0
int fa1/1 - 172.16.0.1 255.255.255.0

Sounds like a Java version issue to me.

Java Version 6, release 3 and 6 are know to work better (at least for me)

Ok i got it working with the 3640 ios bin c3640-jk9o3s-mz.124-10a. I am wondering why the 7206 wont work though as it has way more memory and flash. The 3640 is only showing 8 mb flash so how can i increase that to at least 64 megs.

That's wierd, I was about to start the exact same thread. I couldn't get my 7200s past the same spot in the wizard. If I use the CLI, everything sets up as advertised. I'm using a 12.4T(15) image. I'll try the 3640 you mentioned.

c3725-adventerprisek9-mz.124-15.T5.bin works as well just to let you know.

If you're using GNS3, you can usually change the amount of available memory within the preferences.
