Lab question for new Route test

I just passed the two track test path for my CCNA and I am
looking to start on the CCNP. I am going to work on CCNP Route
642-902. I have the Odom book for the exam, as well as a the
cbt Nuggets for the old BCSI test which I was going to use for
some extra knowledge on some of the crossover topics.

I also have three 1720 routers and was curios if these would still
work for the new exam? From the exam topics I can't see why it
wouldn't work, but I wanted to know if anyone had a different
opinion on it.

Thanks for the help on this.

ROUTE and BSCI have the same topics for the most part. From what i can tell they have taken out IS-IS and multicasting and increased the coverage of ipv6. They have also increased the importance of "planning". But for the most part it seems that what worked for BSCI will work for ROUTE also.

I'm using a 1721 for some of my Route labs. No problems up until now.

As the Route self study guide is not out yet it may be worth getting the BSCI Authorized Self-Study Guide as well, it appears to be a bit more indepth than the ODOM book and it helps to understand the topics better.
