Most of what Bruce says is true and very insightful.

In this case, the law makers, in any country, are completely disincentivised to draft laws that will remove their ability to compile and manipulate data. Knowledge IS power.

Those that lose, as Bruce suggests, are the citizens. And right now we have no voice that the law makers wish to listen to. Certainly the case in the UK. Sadly.

I have a 21 year-old stepson. At University studying politics - he can see nothing wrong with what is available to Facebook. It seems to be the universal view of his generation.
