Well, I went to take the 297 today even though I felt a little unprepared. I read the Exam Cram 2 book and did Transcender. This is the last test I need for my MCSE and the first I've failed.
This is definitely not my type of test. Ask me something technical, I can help. Designing is new for me. I am really disappointed the Exam Prep series doesn't have books for the 297 or the 298. Those books really helped me. They're great. Just the right amount of information.
The test format really got me and the amount of questions on technology I haven't used in years really hurt me. NT4, WINS, NetBios... I have the Second Shot, but since I don't really want to get "up to date" on old tech, I am considering studying for the 70-298 and giving that a try.
I ordered some 298 books (Sybex and Syngress) and I'll see if I enjoy this topic more. Anyway, just came here to sulk. I'll take a day or two to relax and then I'm hitting some more books.

This one hammered me as well. The darn CONCEPTS have even changed.
