What books are you using to prepare for this exam? I think it would help many of us if you tell us what books you are using so we can give you pointers.

The exam hasnt changed that much so yes, the material is current. It isnt as detailed say the MS Press book but it at least highlights the exam topics.

    You want this:

MCSA/MCSE Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-270): Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional

I'm a little concerned that you are asking that. Attention to detail my friend.

It really scares me when people ask these type of questions. And no i would also recommend the exam cram series for this exam
Amazon.com: MCSE Windows XP Professional Exam Cram 2 (Exam 70-270) (2nd Edition) (9780789733603): Derek Melber, Dan Balter: Books
usually having more then one resource per exam is the most helpful.

i'd recommend using both but some others might have different opinions. I know when i took my 270 exam i used both and found them quite useful.

You will need however much you can comprehend. Some people need 3-4 books, and some dont need any books. We cant give you a magic list and say "If you read this you will pass". Just pick up a book and start reading and take some practice tests. If you think youre ready then youre ready.
