BGP problem between PE and CE
Hi
I need some help with a BGP problem.
Let me try to explain the problem.
In this case we have the ISP with the PE and customer in on the CE that are in different VRF.
The customer have regular DSL lines, with a PPP connection.
On top off the PPP connection we have DMVPN tunnel to the PE.
In the DMVPN tunnel we have a regular GRE tunnel that run the linknet(IP), between PE and CE.
The problem that occurred, was that to some off customer lost BGP connection with PE. The customer that lost connection never lost the DSL or PPP connection. Neither did the tunnels go down.
Log from PE:
%BGP-5-ADJCHANGE: neighbor x.x.x.x vpn vrf xxxxxx Down Peer closed the session
Log from CE:
%BGP-5-ADJCHANGE: neighbor x.x.x.x vpn vrf xxx Down BGP Notification sent
%BGP-3-NOTIFICATION: sent to neighbor x.x.x.x 4/0 (hold time expired)
The BGP session was down for about 1 minute.
I can't find any logical reason for why some off the custommer/VRF lost connection and some didn't.

Theres always a logical reason Robert. Any chance of a topology drawing to illustrate things?
