CCIE & Nexus?

Is Nexus hardware in the scope of any of the current CCIE tracks? Do you know if Nexus is in the scope of CCNA certification? I'm curious how long it takes for new hardware to make it into the Cisco certification tracks.

Thank you,
Jas

I don't know of any mainstream Cisco cert with Nexus gear. I don't think it's necessarily about how long it takes for new hardware to make it to certs. I think some hardware just isn't included, like high end routers, chassis switches, etc.

NX-OS isn't currently tested on any of the certifications that I know of. There might be one of those random specializations out there though.

    You suck Colby.

Rumor has it a that a new CCIE track is coming this way. The CCIE DataCenter or something like that. No doubt you will see NX-OS on that. Heck, you could see NX-OS, SAN-OS, and IOS on that one. If indeed there is any truth to the rumor.

Hey Jason, I'd expect to see it make up a good portion of the next revisions of the DCSNS (Data Center Storage Networking Design Specialist) and DCNID (Data Center Networking Infrastructure Design Specialist) exams; especially when you remember that both are a requirement for the DCUCD (aka UCS) exam and no one is going to implement UCS without Nexus.

I know Chad's minions are being encouraged to certify down this path (after VCDX, etc) and that all partners who want Cisco's Advanced Data Center Networking Infrastructure specialization (to be able to sell UCS) need to be certifying a couple bodies each, I'd expect to see Nexus get added soon.
