greetings all
i've got my 70-299 exam on the 9th april
i'm using CBT nuggets, Test out & i also bought the preplogic megaguide**
and i'm trying to study for an hour or so a night
i've noticed that some of the subject matter seems to be similar
to the 70-291 stuff i studied back in the dim dark mists of last year!
so my question is, would it be worth my while recovering the 70-291 sections on network security
or is my plan(ish) above along the right lines?
**well it was only $4, thats something like 3shillings and 4pence for us brits!

RobertKaucher Member Posts: 4,299 ■■■■■■■■■■the 299/298 contain much of the informaition you learned about security from other certs like the 270, 290, 291, 293. I took the 270, 290, 291, 293 and Sec+ and passed the 298 with only some review and test prep from self test software.
I did not take the 299, but I had a copy of the study material and did a few practice exams and am of the opinion it is the same, just from a different angle than the 298.
If you paid attention to the security related material that was rehashed again and again in the other certs, these should be ok for you. -

The 298 is very dry and is more guidelines, so if you are short on $$$, you can do without. the 299 is very well written and covers all the material well. I also supplemented with technet and some resources on this site.
