    I enjoy looking at that each year. The one thing I would note is that the certs and salary aren't correlated in the way the article makes it seem.

    An MCTS: Vista doesn't make 75k because of that cert, it just so happens that most systems people who make 75k have that cert...and this applies for a lot of the certs.

    I am going to start working on my PMP in the next 6 months or so, but once I get it I know better than to assume I will be making 104k just because I have the PMP. That will take time and experience (granted not as much here because I'm in the DC area and the federal contractors LOVE the PMP).
    Current Certifications:

    * B.S. in Business Management
    * Sec+ 2008
    * MCSA

    Currently Studying for:
    * 70-293 Maintaining a Server 2003 Network

    Future Plans:

    * 70-294 Planning a Server 2003 AD
    * 70-297 Designing a Server 2003 AD
    * 70-647 Server 2008
    * 70-649 MCSE to MCITP:EA

    I enjoyed reading the full report. Yes the salaries are way out of sync of the real world, but it does give you a good idea on places to look for work and certifications to obtain.
