Perfmon counters

Hi, has anyone got any good resources on the key performance monitor counters to monitor for Server 2008 ?

The key ones are the ones you need to keep track of, for whatever reason.

I find that for a good quick glance at "WTF is this server doing?", the defaults in Resource Monitor do quite well.

That's going to depend a lot on the role(s) that the server is performing.
