    2 CIDR i think this is supernetting but not 100% sure

    3 ?????? cant answer this one

    4 Ping uses ICMP, which does not have ports.

    3. I thought the hash algorithm had a role in Distance-Vectory routing protocols. Just a hazy thought there.

    A hash algorithm is used for password protection (i.e. MD5).
