Do you mean multiple serial to USB adapters connected to a USB hub that is connected to a PC?

It should work fine.

I use these: FRYS.com | Micro Connectors

They work great with minicom (Linux).

Or for about $130 you can get a 2509 terminal server with cable on ebay.
