Do any of you attend user groups or other professional associations?
I have been to a few of the local SharePoint groups meetings here and found them to be little more than marketing for this or that consultency company. But I have decided I am going to start attending the local SQL Server group and give the SharePoint group a second chance. If you have attended any of the meetings in your area, how have they helped you?

What do you get out of it? How has it helped you? -

That's not the kind of stuff I would find useful. I want to have speakers who use this stuff daily at a high level and who are willing to detail how they got it done.
