EIGRP Variance

Hi,

I come up with this scenario and I know that for variance to take effect, the route that we want to include must be a:

1. Valid Feasible Successor
2. Less than the value of (Successor Route x Variance number )

Now I read in some files and online documents including Cisco websites that it must be indeed LESS THAN the value of
(Successor Route x Variance Number). But what if it is EQUAL? Will the path still used in Unequal Cost Load Sharing?
