Strange memory card reader problem

My new computer came yesterday 
(hpe-130f). I decided today to try out the card reader and the system would lock up. After rebooting the reader worked fine. I thought that it could have something to do with the system going into sleep mode. After some testing it appears the problem occurs when the system resumes from the sleep state. Has anyone else experienced any similar issues?
EDIT: Now it appears to not be working even after a fresh boot.

I have, it functions when Windows is running with only essential services running.Call technical support. -

As it is a new computer with a factory install on it, technical support will be more knowledgable about what is on there and how to fix it. -

Well I was about to give up and return the computer, I opened the thing up and I noticed that the memory card reader cable was slightly loose, I pushed it in all of the way and it works now!Work out what service breaks it then.
As it is a new computer with a factory install on it, technical support will be more knowledgable about what is on there and how to fix it.
