iPad and 3G networks

3G and 4G networks are becoming an opportunity for growth in the IT world. The iPad will set the tone, followed by the other companies, to add millions more subscribers to cellular networks. They are all going to need IT support, especially networking, to help expand the infrastructure.

I wonder how one can get on board this wave. Are there even any certs for cellular networks?

One of the only things I know about 4G is that the current and new networks rolling out (WiMAX, LTE) are different and therefore would require different studies (atleast in some regard. Apparently they are somewhat close in a technical aspect)

I would find a recruiter or an actual tech that works for a cell phone company on the emerging technologies and ask them what you need to do.
