Lab Setup at Work Question

Ok, so I realize there are tons of lab threads everywhere.
I've just looked and can't really find one close to the question I have.
I'd like to setup a lab on a server/s at work but I need to make sure it stays off my production network.
The server is already racked and I plan VMware is already setup on it.
The only ways I can really think of doing this are:
1. Unrack it and put the noisy server on my desk (not really an option).
2. Unrack and take the server home with me. (Really dont care to do this)
3. Plug the server straight up to a wireless router with a seperate IP addressing scheme and only connect to it from my system while i'm not connected to prod network.
I'd really like to see if you could offer something up I possibly havent thought of yet. Maybe I've missed something rather simple.
Thanks in advance!

A+, MCP(270,290), CCNA 2008.
Working back on my CCNA and then possibly CCNP.

If you're studying for the 640, why not just set up some VM's on your desktop? If it's fairly new PC, you'll have no problem completing the labs from those with just a few VM's. It might be a little slow, but certainly do-able. That's what I've been doing. Then when you aren't using them, just suspend the VM's. -
