I won a free beta exam

I just received a voucher for a free 2005 Network+ beta exam from Comptia. :)

The bad news is that I just passed the test several weeks ago. Should I retake the test to show that I am 2005 certified or does it really matter?

I don't think it much matters. I guess you could compare the two objectives and see what is different. Comptia certs are lifetime, so I don't think it would affect you.

If you want my opinion I would sell it on Ebay. :D

It doesn't matter which Network+ exam you pass or passed. You'll be Network+ certified. There's no such thing as a Network+ 2005 certified, it won't even show on your certificate.

Dito, or you can play icon_santa.gif and make someone else happy.

Lucky, I tried to get a free one too. I have not taken the NET+ yet, however, they did send me a code so the test is only $50. So I will try the Net+ Beta, since I can save $100.

CompTIA states that the free vouchers cannot be resold. If you're not going to use it, you need to notify them by Dec. 15th so they can reassign the number to someone else.
