I just got a really awesome deal on an 8 port serial PCI card with octal cable. I want to use putty connection manager so I can use the tabbed browsing but multiple sessions cannot be setup using serial connections only telnet. My question is can I telnet through the console port? Do I setup a loopback address? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I use a PC Access server also, it has two moxa 8x serial cards for a total of 18 comms and i have no issues using it with SecurCRT which allows tabbed sessons for when i am running multiple console sessons. I think you are confusing how a VTY line and a console line connect.Passed: MCTS: Vista, MCITP:EST, SAP Earlywatch (ABAP Performance Analysis in Netweaver 2005), CCENT, CCNA, CCNA Voice
