simulations on Intro Exam
arthaxerxes
Hi all,
I just wanna know about the number (and difficulty) of simulations on Intro exam. I have finished Wendell Odom's CCNA INTRO book and I don't think I have any problem with most of the topics. But I'm not sure
about the simulations.
Cheers

I had 2 and they were both trivial. If you can do basic setup on a router, the sims will be easy.
ICND will be a little more difficult though

Thanx Drakonblayde. Sounds easy.
Also do you remember how many questions you had to answer and
how much time you had for the test?
I heard that some people were complaining about not having enough
time for the exam. I'm not sure whether they're talking about CCNA as
one test or Intro and ICND in particular. Did you have any problem with
timing in either Intro or ICND?
Cheers

I took that test in September and only had two sims. If I remember correctly the simes were really general. Don't read too far into this test. If you can do the basics, you'll be OK.
I have ICND on Friday, wish me luck. Good Luck to you, c__g

Intro was like an hour timewise for 50ish questions... it took me just over 15 minutes to finish. If you can do the subnetting in your head and the conversions, it'll go quick, if you have to do them on paper, you might end up being pressed for time, depending on how much time you take for each problem
ICND, otoh... was 50ish questions as well with, I think, an hour, and I was pressed for time, I had like 12 minutes left. The only other exam that's taken me nearly that long was the 70-215 for 2k server, and that was only because there was sooo much reading. INTRO is a cakewalk, ICND is not.

Thank you c__g and Drakonblayde for the info.
I can do subnetting in my head pretty fast. Unlike some people that's
the easiest part of CCNA for me. I don't have any problem timewise
or other for the questions. My concern was the sims that you both said would be trivial. That's all I care. Thanx
Good luck on your ICND c__g!!
