Excel scripts

Hello, at my job one of the accountants left and they used to have VB script and such on their excel sheet. This new guy came in and when he tried opening it up the macros/vb script doesnt kick in. I checked all the settings in excel and they are correct. we open up another file and it works fine, its jut the file he really needs that won't work. any suggestions..?

Have you tried a quick copy/paste just for a quick fix?

I did try it, once i pasted i got this message saying, circular reference warning. one or more cells contain a circular reference formula.... blah blah... i removed all the cells with that error using the error checking... still bad..
