Outlook Exchange problem

I am having a problem with clients sending emails. The mail will go to the outbox & hang untill you click around in outlook then it goes. I can't really put a finger on it, but I believe it be a Exchange issue or update issue. The clients are XP OS SP1, Outlook Xp SP3 & Exchange 2000 SP3 on 2000 server SP4. There are 2 XEON processors & RAID Level 5 with about 80 GB free, the machine & utlization are fine. Any suggestions are helpful. Thank you.

I believe there is a setting in outlook that you can set to send mail as soon as it hits the outbox. The default may be a few minutes.

I think the default is about 10 minutes -I always set immediately and to check mail every 5 minutes.

I use to be able to click send & it would just go, now it hangs out in the outbox. I know what your talking about when you "5 mintutes" thats the send/recieve sync..I would like it to do it immediatly...I will keep looking..Thanks!
