Confused about .PKG and SDF file...

Hey guys,
I'm having an issue, (YET AGAIN ) with my SDM. First off, I did the right thing and uploaded the .pkg file onto the flash memory of the router because we all know for some reason through SDM, you can't upload it from your PC.
So I went ahead and uploaded it and SDM picked it up. I thought that the PKG file was the signature file no??
Later in the SECURITY DASHBOARD section of IPS, it's asking for an SDF file...so what gives? What's the difference?
And this time around it looks like a .zip file instead of a .pkg....

When I did the SDM thing I transferred the SDF file to the router using tftp. It took forever because it's a 2611xm but it when through ok.
Good luck! -

I'll try it again and see if I went through all the steps correctly....
