I just passed the 293 yesterday
As for reference material I used for 291:
- MS press Book
- Testout
- LOTS of hands on. Especially with DNS. ( I built a lab using VM's)
I basically setup and played with every concept I learned. went through all the tabs etc.

I work for Microsoft and deal with the technologies every day. I just finally sat down, reviewed the materials and filled the gaps.
I was super stoked when I passed 291 given that I always get nervous when I take exams
The 293 material wasn't too hard to digest after 291 and PKI is something I deal with often
