Hello all,
I was told that you cant use the short commands on the exam in the simulations. Such as:
configure terminal
would be
conf t
Is this true?
Taking the exam tomorrow so I want to be speedy on the simulation.
Thanks

captobvious Member Posts: 648You're worried about 2-3 seconds that it'll take to type the full command?

xenodamus Member Posts: 758I just took the exam and the sims had instructions that said the tab command would not work. I actually never tried it, though. I use truncated forms of every command I type, so I know that works.
"sh ip int b" is my favorite command to type....I just feel so efficientCISSP | CCNA:R&S/Security | MCSA 2003 | A+ S+ | VCP6-DTM | CCA-V CCP-V -

https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadBody/2386-102-1-6573/CCNA%20Prep%20from%20Networkers.pdf- Sim questions are always answered by configuring
- something!
- The Exam Engine grades the running config, not the
- startup config
- Before exam day …
- Practice as much as you can (real gear, simulators, sample
- tests, read every configuration in books, repeat labs while in
- class, etc.)
- Use multiple sources for practice/review of configurations
- Exam day …
- Do what you can—partial credit!!!
- Start with “show running-config”
- There are no style points!

Akiii Member Posts: 80 ■■□□□□□□□□I took my exam 2 days ago, and the tab was working. For the "?" it was just blank for me and when I pressed it I had to reload the switch\router in order to go further.
