**Help**CCNA Security/Voice Lab Equipment

Hi everyone,



I'm almost done with CCNA 4 (WAN Technologies) and trying to get a rough idea of what model of equipment would be required to pursue the CCNA Security and Voice for a home lab environment. I'd like to see how affordable a CCNA Security and Voice router would be.



The routers I was looking at was:


Cisco 2650XM
Cisco 2620XM
Cisco 2611XM

2600XMs should be great for Voice. Not sure what all is covered in the NA: Sec, but I imagine the XMs would be good there as well. They can run 12.4, which should support what you need.

26xxXM are great for both the CCNA Voice and the CCNA Security. I actually used 2x1760 for the CCNA security and now I'm utilizing them along with a 2621XM for my CCNA Voice. So far, I've been able to do everything on these routers.

One side note... if you are going to get a 26xxXM, I would suggest you get a 2621XM or 2651XM. The 26x1XM indicates two fast ethernet ports which would help you in the NA security for setting up a DMZ and using the Advanced Firewall configuration wizard in the SDM. I hope this helps!
