My last employer considered their platform to replace legacy Nortel DMS 500 equipment but bought a Metaswitch instead. Cisco was appealing especially because we had several 10k8 chassis and other Cisco big iron but that Metaswitch is some fiiiiiiiiine equipment. What scale are you?
