Juniper
Advise for Juniper-FW cert
ccie1yr
Hi All,
Just a quick advise.
I have about 2 years of good experience on Juniper firewalls and need inputs on which certification should I take?
522: Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA-FWV)
532: Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS-FWV)
As I have seen on Juniper site, both of these certs doesn't have any Prerequisite, so thinking of directly going for 532. Has anyone done it? Can someone please share their exp and also will this be a good idea?

I just did the 522. For someone with some a few good years of Juniper FW experience, this exam would be pretty simple.
I haven't had a chance to go for the 532 yet, but some of my coworkers (including a coauthor of the exam) said it was one of the tougher JNCIS exams. This stems from the fact that there are 3 or 4 courses recommended to a prepare for it. But I would figure if you have NAT, VPN, HA, policy, screen, routing, and debugging down solid, what else would there be? Ok, that may be over simplifying a tad
Once I get more time to focus on Screen stuff I plan on taking the test. Which I guess would be pretty soon as my customer wants me to host 4 Screen based training classes in the next month. So, I would say ask me if you have any questions, but you have me beat on the exp, so I may just have to ask you
