Second Shot nightmare

I failed my 70-646 this week, so I rang Prometric to use my previously arranged second shot registration to book a re-sit before the end of June.
They tell me that my second shot code has been used by someone else
I have had to refer this to Microsoft and do a screen-shot of the online booking error.
Anybody had similar problems ??
In addition to this, all the local test centres seem to be fully booked for June, so its travelling time

neathneathneath Member Posts: 438I still have a dispute between Prometric and Microsoft its taking ages to resolve.
Time is running out for the second shot offer and most local test centres are fully booked for June.
Any others had similar problems accepting the second shot offer? -

I expected the second half of June would be difficult to find an exam.
As for the exam retake, I don't understand how that could happen. Doesn't Prometric do any checking on this? If it were me, the only way I would accept the retake voucher would be if it was the same test that had been failed and registered BY THE SAME PERSON. If Mike Jones is trying to use a voucher that was originally used by John Smith... a huge red flag should go up.
EDIT: I'm currently fighting a battle with prometric and microsoft myself. Prometric gave me a new MCP id and keeps sending my passes to that id. The 270 was easy enough, they just merged that second id into my id. But for my 290, I had to email away and I gave them the the test location, appointment time, the passing score, and my name matches the name that registered and passed. They replied and requested my score sheet. I sent that off yesterday, and now I still have another 3-5 days to wait while a "team of people work on this for me." I'm sorry, it shouldn't take a team of people 3-5 days to do this. One person could probably do it in about 30 seconds.Decide what to be and go be it. -

I'm having the same problem last time Microsoft did merge the two IDs together but prometric now still uses my new ID while in Microsoft i use my old one and what's really frustrating is that when i contact MS they reply back that i should email prometric and when i do email prometric they say my problem is with microsoft.
I have an exam tomorrow, i don't know what will happen but i sure do hope i will not have a third MCP ID :S -
neathneathneath Member Posts: 438After several telephone calls to Microsoft and Prometric, eventually Prometric admitted there was a glitch in the system and they have rescheduled my exam for free.
Thay still could not account why it happened though.
Re-trying my exam on Thursday 24th, fingers crossed. -

I contacted prometric and they changed it. The 290 was already booked when they changed it so I'm hoping that it is only going to be a one time thing.
You won't get a third, but you also won't get the email notifying you of getting the third. If I hadn't checked my transcript I might not have noticed this until after my 291 when I was wondering why I didn't have an MCSA.neathneathneath wrote: »After several telephone calls to Microsoft and Prometric, eventually Prometric admitted there was a glitch in the system and they have rescheduled my exam for free.

Cool glad it's ok now. -
Devilsbane Member Posts: 4,214 ■■■■■■■■□□Could they find out where the problem was?
They probably could, but I didn't press. I'm just happy its there. I suspect since I had already registered for the exam when I contacted Prometric they still sent it to the old ID.
We will find out in about 2 weeks if that was the case. If it happens again then I think it will be worth investigating.Decide what to be and go be it.
