Remote Control vs. Remote Desktop
Samurai004
Is Remote Control a blanket term that includes Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance? Or is it a third type of Remote function that is different from Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance.
My understanding is the former structure I described above. But I am just making sure.
Thanks ahead of time.

I'd say both. Remote control can describe remote assistance, remote desktop, and 3rd party programs such as logmein.
I don't think MS will use this term on the test. They will be specifically testing you on one or the other, and a 3rd party tool should rarely if ever come up on a MS exam. I think the author of your book is just being lazy by using the term.

Yeah, I figured that might be the case. Nothing like being vague when teaching something that requires precision. Thanks for the input.
