Etherchannel Setup?

I know I haven't started ICND2 yet, still working on ICND1, but I really would like to setup a 4gig Etherchannel simulation between two 2960s. From what I have read, I will need to setup STP to be able to setup Etherchannel. Only problem is, I haven't started studying for ICND2 and I know nothing about setting up spanning-tree or etherchannel.
I only want mess around with this, because one of our remote offices will be implementing etherchannel next month and I have asked to tag along with our Network Engineer.
Can someone tell me what all it takes to setup etherchannel and a simple config I can play with?
I'm going to surf the net a bit, but what I have read so far doesn't help too much.
