Certified for life?

I saw in a thread about if you get Network+ certified before the end of the year, it is good for life? Are we going to need to re-certify every so often now?


Is something changing with Comptia cert's? Can anyone elaborate, I cannot find the thread I was browsing.

CompTIA A+, Net+, Security+. If you pass in 2010 or prior it lasts for life. If you pass in 2011 or later, it will expire every three years. Pretty simple.

Assuming you pay the triennial maintenance fee and get the required CPE's, regardless of lifetime cert or not.
