Will having too many pst slow down Outlook?

Is connected to an Exchange Server with a 200Mb mailbox limit.

    Yes under certain conditions, if the PST files are large in size (over 8GB) they tend to corrupt easier, and everytime outlook is opened it has to connect to those PST files which slows down outlook. If you have a lot of smaller PST files performance should not be effected as much.
