If you are just simulating a point-to-point network, then you just need a wic-1t on each router... but if your going to run frame relay, partial/full mesh, then you will need wic-2t's and lots of them.CCNP :study: -
alan2308 Member Posts: 1,854 ■■■■■■■■□□You definitely want at least one serial interface per router, though I recommend you have at least 2 per. That can be a single WIC-2t or a pair of WIC-1t's. And if you have enough routers to do frame relay, you'll want 3 or 4 in one to use as a frame relay switch.
Short answer, get as many as you can. You can never have too many.
