New 40 question format for exam 70-292

in 70-292 / 70-296 Upgrade
Has anyone tried taking this exam? If so is it as out in left field as some of the comments I have read. I was all set to take this next week, but now I am rethinking of just taking the 70-296 first before the revamp that one as well.
