Good day,
I have followed the instructions in the microsoft press and cbt nuggets to the latter concerning printer tracking. The problem is i cannot get it to work.
I did the following:
1. Under group policy for the domain i enabled pre-populate printer search location text.
2. In active directory sites and services i created a site and associated the subnet of my client computers with the site. In the properties of the subnet i wrote the location of the share printer as it appears in the general tab of the logical printer located on the server.
The client is pre-populated with the name of the site rather than its location.
