Passed on Friday
Hi everyone,
I passed the Security+ on Friday with a 869/1000. For resources I used Darril Gibson's book, TechExam notes, and various websites on the internet. I studied on and off for about 2 months.
Darril's book was excellent and I would recommend it to anyone looking to take the exam. There were only a few areas where some outside research was needed (risk assessment, 802.11i, WAP were a few that stuck out).
I have been working in the IT industry for about 6 years now. The network security arena is fairly new to mean, so I very much enjoyed the material.
As to what's next, I'm planning on delving deeper into Linux with the LPIC while continuing to learn Perl.
A big thank you to Darril and the authors of the technotes!
