On-Call jobs (like OnForce)

Hey, I am actually writing for my boyfriend. He was laid off 6 months ago, and between my freelancing (web design) and his unemployment we are barely making ends meet. He get some occasional jobs from a place called OnForce, which is nice, but because we are in a highly populated area (Portland, Oregon) he doesn't get as much work as he would like while he is looking for a full-time job.

My question is: Do you know of other companies that are like OnForce where you can get called (or emailed) about one-off jobs and on-call jobs? Or, what keywords would I search for in Google to find companies like this in my area? I'm just unfamiliar in what I would look for to help him out.

I would recommend against finding him more companies like OnForce, they often end up ripping you off, I know because i worked for a company that competed directly with Onfore and we also worked with them because we both had a contract to do Dell in warranty repairs. I cant give you the company name because i know they already sued a few people that used to work there. But i will tell you they are a sinful bunch, of techs. they often told techs and the employees that the checks are in the mail but they never even left the office.

anyways i would tell him to pick up other qualifications that Onforce needs, I'm not sure but if they repair LCD TVs or the big office printers that need specialists.

but the one company i know that fixes LCD and Flat panel TVs is ITI Indusys Technology, Inc (ITI) - Outsourcing, Support, High Tech i have no exp with them personally but people have told me that they are good with payments.

The last shop I worked for did calls for a company called Barrister Global. They handled a wide range of services from PC calls to Lawnmowers. Funny story...I actually did a statewide recall on Murray riding lawnmower grass chutes for the PC repair shop I used to work at. Every Wal-Mart in the state - That was through Barrister Global as well. Actually made some damn good money on that project icon_lol.gif. We obviously would do anything for a buck, ha.
