Hi,

Anyone got a plain answer what this DOS (?) utility is used for icon_confused.gif

    A Ramdrive is used as a temporary drive, hence, RAMdrive. You could create a Ramdrive to hold files, mainly used by the OS. After it's creation, the system sets aside that size of the Ramdrive from the amount of available memory, and assisns it the next drive letter. Of course, being only in RAM, once you shut off the computer, the drive disappears. Nowadays, with Smartdrive, Ramdrives are obsolete for the most part.
