Guys this might be a stupid question but as I haven't had a chance to see any cisco routers or switches in a working environment but I've often wondered if you use the same domain name as in active directory.
Lets say I'm setting up ssh on a router and the company name is Acme Inc. and in AD it's either Acme.com or Acme.local, would you use the same name on your cisco routers?
username cisco password 0 cisco
ip domain-name acme.local
Are there any reasons why i should or shouldn't use the company's registered name?
Or do i want to keep the two completely seperate ?
