GRE in TSHOOT

Hey guys,

I've not come across anything to do with GRE tunnels in all of my studies for the BSCI and BCMSN whether it be in Cisco Press materials, etc. I've also not had the need to deal with them in a professional capacity either.

So, as I'm labbing up the TSHOOT topo in GNS3, I'm stuck trying to figure out what all should be entailed in the GRE tunnel as shown in the IPv6 slide of the Cisco-provided TSHOOT topology (pic attached). I haven't found any other threads about this specifically, so I'm reaching out to those that didn't bat an eye at this part of the setup.

Are there any specific Cisco docs that you could recommend for a GRE n00b? I've seen the one for "GRE over IPSec with OSPF" which would seem to make sense in this case, but is the IPSec portion just implied with the mention of a GRE tunnel?

Thanks for shedding light on this. I'm quite certain that if I don't prep for this one unknown, I'll get a bunch of TSHOOT tix specifically focused on it.

Oh crap, is this just supposed to be a 6-to-4 tunnel?

You can then run OSPF on the tunnel interfaces, good luck

Got it. Guess I just had to ask before I finally realized what was going on.

I do that with my car keys all the time. (Hey, have you seen my keys around?, I've looked everywhere... Oh there they are.)
