pre screening questions/job position help

I'm on this website, trying to apply for a job for a part time position in computer repair. There are a few pre-screening (I think) questions that I'm not so sure of. Maybe someone can help me out?

They would like to know what experience's that I think are valuable for me to share.

I honestly don't know how to answer the question but with customer service. I've had customer service with teachers/school staff, store customers, truck drivers, and people making donations. I think that would be a wide variety of people who I've had customer service with.

The money question. How much should I make and why?

Now because I have little experience with computer repair but I also have certs, I was thinking about between $8.00 - 12.00 and hour. I read that I should give them a range to work with. I also have over 2 years of customer service experience.

Positions portion:

Servicing Mac's is something that I've never done before. I'm sure alot of the stuff is the same for hardware but for the OS, what would you recommend to study from?
Booya!!

For the experiences section I would share a short description of a story of where you used your computer skills to fix something. Doesn't have to be long just like You did such and such and it worked out great! Maybe add in your cert and say you used the CCENT to help them.

As for the money question I would not give a range for now and say negotiable. If they press it further in an interview then give a range. If you give a range they have all the leverage. Also $4 range is a lot, maybe bring it down to like $10-$12 range. $8 is pretty low lol.

For macs the easiest way to get your feet wet is to jump right in honestly. Do you know anyone with a mac that you could browse around on and play on it? It's really not too hard to figure out and honestly in the interview at this point if you got one it would be easiest to say you have limited experience with MACs but are a very fast learner and would enjoy the challenge.

    Thanks for the input.

The community college has a few Macs in the computer lab. I've used them before by trying to complete a homework assignment. It didn't work out so much. I could also go over to the mall down the street that has the apple store :)

I haven't really used my computer skills that I learned from a certification to fix something. I actually used the skills that I learned from troubleshooting my PC. I would have been nice to use the information from a certification.
